Apart ontwerp, die Beta 91! Deze microfoon heeft zijn vorm te danken aan de makkelijkste manier van opnemen van een kick drum: gewoon in de drum zelf! Deze Beta 91 kunt u op bijvoorbeeld een kussen of iets dergelijks aan de binnenkant van de kick drum leggen, en de microfoon neemt zo perfect en direct het geluid op! Zo neemt u precies datgene op wat u nodig hebt om uw geluid net dat klein beetje extra "punch" te geven.
De Beta 91 is speciaal ontworpen voor basinstrumenten als een bassdrum. De basweergave van de microfoon is dan ook op zijn minst goed te noemen, al zouden wij een superieur van goed willen gebruiken! Het frequentiebereik van 20Hz tot 20kHz is geoptimaliseerd voor basinstrumenten, de bass komt dus mooi uit de verf. Deze low-profile microfoon heeft bovendien geen externe mounting hardware nodig, gewoon een kwestie van neerleggen, inpluggen en spelen maar!

De Beta91 produceert een heerlijk, diepe kick welke voor diverse applicaties te gebruiken is.
Wanneer de Beta91 in combinatie met de Shure Beta52 wordt gebruikt is het mogelijk om een werkelijke wereld sound te creëren (hoewel dit ook mogelijk is met enkel de Beta91 of 52).
