General
The Showtec Indigo 5500 LED moving head is a great addition to the Indigo series. This LED movinghead is equipped with a 70W LED, making it almost as powerful as a 400W gas-discharge version. Thanks to revolutionary optics, this moving head can project very sharp beams.
Characteristics of the Indigo 5500
The Indigo 5500 has various functions on board, making it well suited for semi-professional use. The light yield of the 70W LED can be manipulated in various ways. It is equipped with two gobo wheels, a colour wheel, a rotating prism, a DMX-controlled focus and a strobe function. With its light weight of only 12.5 kg, the Indigo 5500 performs admirably in a compact construction.

deze head is erg stil waardoor deze uitstekend is voor klein theater. de pan en tilt snelheid is erg snel. maar heeft een kleine late reactie dit is niet storend. er zijn niet veel kleuren voor iemand die dat zoekt is dit nog steeds goed het zijn namelijk gewoon goede warme kleuren. de split colour is een erg mooie functie. je ziet echt de overgang tussen de kleuren. bij de Showtec Phantom 75 is de split colour meer een beam effect vind ik. de statische gobo's zijn goede figuren waardoor gobo morphing mogelijk kan gemaakt worden. de roterende gobo's hebben geen schokkerige bewegingen en lopen erg makkelijk zelfs op de laagste snelheid. het prisma heeft 3 goede spots bijna zonder vervaging wat vaak bij goedkope movingheads is. door het prisma word de licht opbrengst natuurlijk minder maar het blijft nog best goed. de automatische focus is het beste pluspunt. voor deze prijs is dat moeilijk zoeken. de focus is snel en makkelijk en er zitten (tot nu toe) geen minpunten aan. de dimmer van deze head is erg smooth. geen schokkerige punten gewoon van 0 naar 100%. de LED lampen zijn een erg groot voordeel. stel dat ooit een LED lampje stuk zou gaan heb je er nog 6 over en dat is nog steeds 60w lichtopbrengst.

- gewicht, maar dat is altijd zo het is niet dat je rug breekt zo zwaar is ie niet.
conclusie
een goede movinghead voor theater aula feesten eigenlijk voor alles. sterkere lichtopbrengst dan een 250w movinghead. misschien zelfs 400w zoals showtec zelf beweert. als je twijfelt tussen de indigo 4600 (die ik zelf niet heb getest) en denkt dat de lichtopbrengst minder is. dan zou ik gewoon deze nemen. kortom gewoon een geweldige movinghead!
