Serato has announced that their software is now supported by Apple's latest OS, El Capitan (version 10.11.1). You can download the latest version of Serato DJ here. There are still a few bugs, but Serato has indicated that they aim to fix those as soon as possible. Here you can read about the issues that still affect Pioneer, Rane, Numark, Novation and Reloop hardware. As mentioned above, Serato is working hard to fix any and all problems.

Together with their latest 1.9 software update, Serato DJ introduces Pulselocker, a music streaming service much like Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music, but with the added possibility to download a track and use use it offline. That means you'll have access to over 44 million songs from almost 500 different labels of all sizes! Pulselocker allows you to download any of these songs for use in your sets.

The three main DJ software programs have all decided to launch their new software updates in august. With the update, Pioneer's Rekordbox allows you to rip and import your CDs, records, and cassette tapes directly. Native Instruments are moving away from their Service Center towards the more streamlined Acces. And Serato offers the new option to subscribe to one of their new expansion packs. Furthermore, Serato has teamed up with SoundSwitch to create new lighting automation software forDJs who also want to put on an amazing light show.

One day before Roland's big event, The Future Redefined, Serato has announced the arrival of a beast of a DJ controller, the DJ-808. What does Serato and Roland have to do with each other, you ask? These two mega brands have joined forces to create it, the mother of all DJ controllers. This classic 2-deck (with 4-deck drive), 4-channel machine is comprised of a number of popular Roland digital instruments, including the TR-606, 707, 808 and 909, a Vocoder and a Sequencer.

Exactly two months ago, Native Instruments announced that their Traktor Pro was finally compatible with the NXS2 series by Pioneer. Now, Serato DJ is following suit. That means the club standard, the DJM-900NXS2 DJ mixer with two CDJ-2000NXS2 tabletops, is compatible with the software by the three biggest DJ brands. Consider this an early Christmas present!
