General

Voor de meeste instrumenten is wel een microfoon speciaal voor dat instrument. Deze heeft een andere instelling in het frequentiebereik, zodat hij net wat beter uit de verf komt dan met een universele microfoon. Dat dit ook anders kan, laat Sennheiser zien met deze E 905 microfoon, die goed in te zetten is voor opname en uitversterkingen voor vele instrumenten.

Het brede frequentiebereik dat reikt van 40 tot 18.000 Hertz zorgt ervoor dat de microfoon ook breed in te zetten is, wat hem samen met het cardioïde opnamepatroon een gericht en een vol geluid geeft. Het design van de microfoon zorgt er tevens voor deze makkelijk te monteren is op bijvoorbeeld drums! De goede technieken achter de E 900 Backline serie hebben Sennheiser een prijs opgeleverd, namelijk de TEC Award voor "Outstanding Technical Achievement" in de categorie "Microphone Technology/Sound Reinforcement". Deze prijs is vooral te danken aan de prestaties van deze series bij drums, die ronduit geweldig te noemen is!
