General
De sE Electronics T2 is een tweede generatie FET condensator microfoon met een titanium diafragma. De T2 is feitelijk een sE 4400 met het dubbele titanium diafragma element van de Titan. Zo doende beschikt u ook over vier opnamepatronen, waaronder het cardioide, hyper-cardioide, figuur-8 en omni patroon. De opnamepatronen zijn te selecteren aan de voorzijde van het microfoonchassis.
Verder beschikt de T2 over low-cut filters van 60Hz en 120Hz. Om de veelzijdigheid van de T2 nog verder te vergroten zijn er ook nog -10dB en -20dB volumeverzachting instellingen naast de normale 0dB instelling.
De sE T2 levert gebalanceerde respons in de lage en middenfrequenties en is zeer gedetailleerd in het opvangen van hoge frequenties, zonder het hoog te veel te versterken. Dit maakt de T2 uitermate geschikt voor gesproken woord doordat de hoge frequenties zeer goed worden opgenomen, zonder verdere EQ en zonder scherpe slisklanken.
Maar de Titanium 2 van sE Electronics is ook zeer bruikbaar voor het opnemen van percussie, gitaartracks die met plectrum gespeeld zijn, hamerklanken van piano's, kickdrum en slapstyle basgitaar.

Tip voor Bax: het zou heel handig zijn wanneer er in de tekst, of als set, een bijpassend statief wordt aangeboden. Op een gewoon microfoonstatief wordt het geheel wel erg wankel. Dus kijk meteen even naar een wat 'zwaarder' statief.
Na ontvangst van het reflectiefilter kon ik het niet gebruiken en moest ik nog apart een statief bestellen.
Verder wel aardig, maar of het zoveel extra brengt?? Nee, dat trek ik na een aantal opnames in twijfel.
Daarom, en het ontbreken over de info betr. het statief, deze 3 sterren.
