Roland VR-3 AV mixer with USB streaming output
Product no: ROL-VR-3 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

These days, the Internet is no longer a place of grainy webcam footage and inaudible audio recordings. Professional equipment is available at increasingly lower prices, after all. Thanks to websites such as YouTube, it has become much more interesting and fun to experiment. Roland have noticed this development and are catering to the demand it creates. The VR-3 AV mixer is the ultimate audiovisual partner for anyone who wants to get serious about making web broadcasts.

Technology and concept of the VR-3

The design of the VR-3 is largely based on that of the VR-5, Roland's previously developed video mixer. It comes with a more attractive price tag, however! As such, the VR-3 is the ideal audio/video mixer for amateur broadcasters who are looking for a wide range of high-quality options at a budget-friendly price. What makes the VR-3 so special is its USB Streaming Output functionality, which enables you to use it as a regular webcam with built-in microphone, but which produces an output of a much higher quality. Various microphones and video sources can be quickly and easily connected. The VR-3 also features its own built-in microphone for simpler applications. You can use it when an external mic is not required. Sources such as CD players, external microphones and video cameras can also be connected, which is great for vloggers, as well as for Internet radio stations that want to offer their listeners a view of their studio.

Live applications of the AV mixer

The VR-3 is a great AV mixer for Internet applications, but can also easily be used in a live environment. Roland offer various application options for presentations, live performances, houses of worship and meetings. Mixing various audio and video sources and creating smooth transitions requires hardly any effort at all. Monitor signals can be previewed either on the internal display, or on a larger external monitor. As such, optimal flexibility is guaranteed, even for more compact setups. Thanks to its moderate weight of only 2 kg and its battery-powered option, you can take the VR-3 anywhere. Alternatively, you can use this AV mixer at home, as its compact housing fits nearly any (home) studio.
