The piano sounds of the RP401R-WH are produced by Roland's SuperNATURAL engine, ensuring a realistic, highly expressive tone. The SuperNATURAL engine does not simply reproduce samples, but makes calculations, which hugely improves the overall sound. Thanks to a polyphony of 128 voices, you can play even the most complex piano pieces without notes being cut short. In addition to its fabulous piano sounds, the digital piano also features more than 300 other sounds, including strings and horns, as well as a range of styles - just like a regular keyboard.

Additional comfort via the iPad

As the control panel of the RP-401R only has a modest number of buttons, you might wonder how you're able to operate all of its great functions. The answer is simple: with an iPad! By using your iPad and a free app you have access to a high-grade menu. Simply place your tablet on the music stand of the digital piano, and you're able to control the many sounds and styles the RP-401R has to offer. For kids - who are used to working with tablets - this provides an engaging way of learning how to play, not in the least part thanks to the included exercises, such as guessing pitches. The Roland RP401R-WH makes piano lessons fun!
