General

De GW-8E is de Europese uitvoering van de GW-8. Het is een eigentijds workstation, dat gebruik maakt van de professionele geluidsmodules van Roland. Uitgerust met een 128-stemmige polyfone klankbron levert deze GW-8E veel eigentijdse klanken en begeleidingen. De synthesizer bevat enkele honderden klanken afkomstig uit de beste geluidsmodules van Roland. Daarnaast maken functies als D BEAM en analog modify het instrument makkelijk te bedienen.

De begeleidingen waarmee de GW-8E is uitgerust zijn veelzijdig. Rock, pop, dance en jazz, maar ook begeleidingen uit andere culturen. De Europese versie is gericht op de Oost-Europese en Arabische muzikant. Elke "style", te kiezen met de nieuwe Style-Select-knop, heeft vier intro's, vier hoofdbegeleidingen en vier slotfrasen.

Roland heeft ook de GW-8E voorzien van de populaire "Song Player" functie. Hiermee kunt u uw werk opslaan via USB en direct weergeven in verschillende formaten, zoals MP3, WAV, AIFF en SMF. De GW-8E is verder uitgerust met onder andere "Center Cancel" (verwijdert de zangpartij), "Style Convertor" (software voor converteren MIDI) en "Playlist Editor" (songs in de juiste volgorde zetten).
