General

A collaboration between Roland and legendary guitar brand Fender has altered the future of the electric guitar: let us introduce the V-Guitar. The Roland V-Guitar G-5 combines the iconic Fender Stratocaster with Roland's defining COSM modelling technology. The result is an extremely versatile guitar with a wide range of electric and acoustic guitar sounds and alternative tunings. The Roland G-5 VG Stratocaster makes all your musical fantasies come true!

The 20 sounds and 6 tunings of the Roland G-5

The heart of this 'virtual' guitar is the built-in Hex pickup and the powerful processor. The processor uses the same technology as the Roland VG-99 V-Guitar system and the GR-55 guitar synthesizer. The Mode knob of the G-5 VG Stratocaster enables you to choose from the sounds of a Stratocaster, a Telecaster, a guitar with humbucker pickups or an acoustic guitar. Each model is equipped with its own sounds, which can be accessed by means of a five-way switch. The Tuning knob offers you direct access to six different tunings: normal (EADGBE), drop D (DADGBE), open G (DGDGBD), D modal (DADGAD), Baritone (ADGCEA) or a 12-string guitar.

A genuine Fender Stratocaster

Apart from its hyper-modern electronics, the Roland G-5 is a 'regular', top-quality Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. It features a traditional alder body, a comfortable maple neck, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and six high-grade tuners. The body is fitted with a vintage-style tremolo bridge and three Alinco 5 single-coil pickups. The Roland G-5 VG Stratocaster is also equipped with a master volume and master tone knob, plus a five-way pickup switch. In short: the perfect ingredients for an amazing-sounding, easy-to-play guitar!
