General

For decades, Roland has provided music lovers with excellent digital pianos. The Roland FP-50 digital piano black, a digital piano with exceptional features, is a great addition to their arsenal. Playing the FP-50 feels like playing a real piano, thanks to Roland's Ivory Feel-G technology with Escapement (pressure point simulation), which creates an even more realistic feel when you press the keys. The FP-50 is fitted with built-in speakers, but naturally it's also possible to play/practise with headphones. The FP-50 consists of only a keyboard without a stand, so you can easily transport it to your gigs. Stands for both home and stage applications are available separately, allowing you to decide for yourself which model suits your needs best.

From now through 30 April 2015, a stand is included free of charge.

The sound of the FP-50-BK

Naturally, sound is an essential factor for a musical instrument. Roland's SuperNATURAL system provides the FP-50 with a fantastic, authentic sound. A subtle pianissimo and a rich fortissimo enable you to play any genre, from pop to jazz and from rock to classical. The touch-sensitivity of the keys is just as it should be, creating transitions without any audible steps. Your piano sound decays in a natural way and the overall sound characteristics are accurately reproduced across the entire keyboard. The FP-50 may come at a budget-friendly price, but its sound can definitely compete with that of much more expensive pianos.

Additional features

The FR-50 features more than just piano sounds. It offers a nice range of sounds and backing rhythms with chord detection over the entire length of the keyboard. Playback of MIDI or WAV files on a USB stick is possible, so you can play along with your favourite songs. You can also record your own performance as an audio file and relatively easily create an audio CD with your PC. The optional Roland Wireless Connect (WNA1100-RL) and the free Air Performer app provide a wireless alternative for the USB stick, and allow you to play the music on your iPhone, iPad or iPod over the FP-50's speakers, so you can play along.
