General
De G6 mag met zijn 61 toetsen eigenlijk de term 'klein' niet dragen. Toch is het de kleinste versie uit de Fantom G serie synthesizers, bestaande uit drie zeer krachtige modellen.
De Fantom G6 beschikt over een buitengewoon geavanceerde klankbron, die een dubbel zo groot golfvormgeheugen heeft als de vorige generatie workstations. De synthesizer is uitgerust met een 8.5 inch LCD scherm, dat eventueel te bedienen is met een computermuis.
Deze muis is via één van de maar liefst drie USB poorten aan te sluiten. Deze aansluitingen zorgen ervoor dat de bediening van vooral de sequencer van de Fantom G6 zeer eenvoudig te bedienen is. De Fantom G6 synthesizer laat u op 128 (midi) en 48 (audio) sporen opnemen. De projecten kunnen opnieuw via USB wegschrijven.
Een belangrijk aspect van de Fantom G-serie synthesizers is de aansluitoptie voor de ARX uitbreidingssets. Deze kaarten voorzien de apparaten van extreem veel nieuwe instrumenten. Daarnaast hebben de sets hetzelfde rekenvermogen en kracht als de synthesizers, zodat niet aan de polyfonie wordt gezeten.
