Roland is renowned for its large digital pianos, but they won't do you any good if you're living in a small house or apartment. A more compact (and more affordable) model is much better suited for your bedroom or student housing, for instance. Take this Roland F-130R-WH, a white digital piano with considerable options in a moderate housing. In addition to its excellent piano sound (produced by Roland's SuperNATURAL engine), the F-130R also offers 72 rhythms/styles. You could go as far as to say that it is actually a good keyboard dressed up as a digital piano. An additional 305 sounds, including instruments such as strings and horns, definitely make this Roland digital piano worth your while.

Whether you're a beginning player - the instrument is ideal for piano lessons - or a more advanced pianist, the F-130R offers you a pleasurable playing experience. The 88-key keyboard with Ivory Feel is the perfect match for the SuperNATURAL engine, which does not simply reproduce samples, but calculates the right sound for each note you play, based on formulas. The result is an authentic, expressive tone without any unrealistic transitions between notes. You'll feel like you're playing in a concert hall - an effect that's enhanced by the special 3D Ambience headphone feature.

More options with the i of Apple

If you own an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, you'll be able to wirelessly connect that device to the F-130R-WH. All you need in order to set up a link is the optional Roland Wireless USB Adapter. The Air Performer and Piano Partner apps add some great functionality. Air Performer allows you to wirelessly stream music from your device to the speakers of the digital piano, for you to play along with. Pitch and tempo can be adjusted, so music pieces that are originally in C sharp can be performed in C, for instance - a great feature for beginning players. The Piano Partner app is a fun interactive way of improving your piano skills. Both apps are available free of charge!
