General

De DS-serie van Roland zult u voornamelijk terugvinden in studio's waar men geen kwaliteitsverlies wil door analoge lijntjes vanaf een mengtafel of geluidskaart naar de luidsprekers. Dat is ook helemaal geen probleem met de DS-5 monitoren, want zij ondersteunen digitale input via optische of coaxiale ingangen. Zo kunt u helemaal zelf kiezen welke ingangen u wilt gebruiken!

Verder creëert de DS-5 een helder, eerlijk geluid dankzij een 130 mm woofer en een 19 mm soft dome tweeter. Hoge tonen komen duidelijk maar bescheiden naar voren, terwijl de woofer dit aanvult met mid en laag. Optioneel is het uiteraard mogelijk om een subwoofer toe te voegen voor wat extra laag-ondersteuning, waardoor de DS-5 monitoren helemaal tot hun recht komen.

Het bi-amp systeem zorgt er voor dat het signaal al bij binnenkomst wordt gescheiden, waardoor de twee versterkers binnenin het juiste frequentiegebied voor hun kiezen krijgen om uit te versterken. Hierdoor wordt een optimale efficiëntie behaald en haalt u het uiterste uit de luidsprekers als het gaat om klank, frequentiebereik en kwaliteit.
