This professional Reloop DJ set consists of two RMP-3 black players and one RMX-40 Blackfire DSP mixer. It enables you to play music from various types of media and will certainly make you look good in any club. The RMP-3 players read nearly any file format and can even be used as a MIDI controller for your favourite DJ software. This set offers big-league functionality at an affordable price.
RMP-3 Alpha cross media player
The RMP-3 Alpha is a true media player! CDs, MP3 files, USB media: this RMP-3 Alpha can play nearly anything! The new USB audio link gives two of these Alphas simultaneous access to the same USB stick or hard drive and allows you to search for the next track while the previous track is still playing. Playing tracks is not the only thing this RMP-3 Alpha player can do, however. MIDI control, seamless loops, an automatic loop option, micro pitch adjustable from 4% to 100%, four sample banks and four cue point banks: just a few of the player's many options that make mixing easier and more versatile. The built-in effects provide even more entertainment. The built-in DSP effects unit gives you just that extra bit of control and functionality that lift the RMP-3 to a higher level than its price tag would have you believe. The most versatile feature of the player is the MIDI functionality, which enables you to control your favourite DJ software with the familiar interface of the RMP-3.
RMX-40 DSP Blackfire 4-channel mixer
This professional DJ mixer makes a solid impression with its black, brushed look. Its functionality matches its great looks! As the name implies, the RMX-40 DSP is equipped with a freely assignable DSP effects unit. The time and signal parameters of effects such as Pan, Trans, Delay and Flanger can be adjusted by means of two potentiometers. The Reloop mixer is fitted with a headphones output with an equalizer and a mono switch and reversible faders with an adjustable curve. For beat matching purposes, the mixer has an automatic beat counter that is available for each channel. The RMX-40 features a fader start option and a crossfader that allows you to make smooth transitions between tracks. All these characteristics make the mixer suitable for a wide range of applications.

Het uiterlijk lijkt op de Pioneer CDJ's en er zitten veel dezelfde functie's op waardoor de overgang van deze set naar de Pioneers toe erg klein is!
Even een opsomming van de plus- en minpunten:
Pluspunten:
+ Mogelijkheid om te draaien met USB, CD, HDD en MP3
+ Uiterlijk lijkt op de Pioneer CDJ's
+ Fijne 'feeling' door de rubberen jogwheels
+ Past in veel standaard flightcases
+ Je kunt de table-tops linken waardoor je met van dezelfde USB-stick gebruik kan maken op beide table-tops
+ De set voelt solide aan, geen dingen die snel kapot kunnen gaan
+ Effecten klinken prima
+ Eventueel mogelijkheid om met midi te gebruiken (dan zou je wel een audio interface erbij moeten kopen)
Minpunten:
- BPM counter is niet erg precies (zowel op de mixer als op de table-tops)
Ik maak nu bijna 2 jaar gebruik van deze set en vind hem nog steeds fantastisch!
Zeker het geld waard!

Al met al een leuke set om mee te beginnen als je een beetje budget hebt. Aanrader voor iedereen die pioneer net iets te duur vind !!
ALGEMEEN:
Ik heb dit setje nu ongeveer 4 maand in huis en dit zijn mijn voorlopige bevindingen:
voor de prijs die je betaalt krijg je oneerlijk veel kwaliteit. Het jogwheel is een droom om mee te werken, de andere knopjes en faders e.d. zijn allemaal heel gevoelig en vooral heel snel, er zit zogoed als geen latency op. Enkel bij het mengpaneel heb ik 1 bemerking en dat is de FX-aan/uit knop, die heeft (bij mij toch' nogal zijn eigen willetje. Verder zijn de faders op het mengpaneel heel licht en vlot.
MIDI:
Ik gebruik ze nu enkel nog als MIDI-controllers en daar schuilt een addertje onder het gras:
Je hebt ook nog een externe geluidskaart nodig (met 4 uitgangen, zoals de reloop play) om met traktor en een external deck te kunnen werken (tenzij jij een laptop hebt met 4 audio-uitgangen hebt, dacht et niet ;) )
DUS LET OP! WIL JE ZE GEBRUIKEN ALS MIDI-CONTROLLERS BIJ TRAKTORDJ, DAN ZAL JE NOG EEN EXTERNE GELUIDSKAART NODIG HEBBEN.

De levering ervan was binnnen een dag en het ziet er allemaal geweldig uit. Zowel de mixer als de spelers zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit en ik wist na een middagje oefenen al redelijk leuk mixwerk naar buiten te brengen :).
Conclusie: een geweldige dj set voor niet al te veel geld die alles doet wat ik graag wou zien in een dj gear.

Wat een geweldig spelers zijn dit!
Paar dagen geleden ontvangen, niet meteen de tijd gehad om hem meteen uit de doos tehalen.
Vanochtend nog even snel gedaan voordat ik naar het werk ging.

1. Voelt duur aan ( Niet goedkoop afgemaakt )
2. Effecten zijn leuk die erop zitten.
3. Nummers laat die snel , ook met cd's.
Voor mij nog een hele avontuur om hem verder uittezoeken.

Er is echter geen master volume knop, maar een fader. Voor mij is het toch wel prettig om dat te hebben. Wel is er een master 2 volume knop voor monitor speakers. De effecten zijn leuk, maar is lastig om dat met de beat te matchen. Daar ga ik zelf ook beetje mee oefenen.
Het design ziet er ook fraai uit. Ik heb hem in combinatie met de Numark NDX 400 (2x). Samen zien ze er mooi uit als een dj set. Echter is het mengpaneel best wel diep (als in hij is lang) in vergelijking met mijn cd spelers. Voor het pluggen van de kabels je de reloop rmx 40 wel altijd even moeten optillen omdat de connectoren onder in een hoek zitten (zie plaatjes). Maar al met al is het een zeer goed mengpaneel waarbij je lekker kan draaien en dat voor een mooi prijsje.
Kortom een echte aanrader!
