The white design of the CDJ-850-W
This white player is a real eye-catcher, at home as well as in the DJ booth. Not just because of its looks, but also because of its functions and performance (the same as those of the 'regular' CDJ-850). The large jog wheels (206 mm) provide good grip on the track and offer accurate cue and scratching options. They also allow for pitch bending. A clear display gives you all the information you need and facilitates browsing through your music collection, which is always up to date and can be easily managed thanks to the Rekordbox software.
Connectivity
The CDJ-850-W supports MIDI, enabling you to seamlessly work with a lot of DJ software. Two USB ports allow you to connect a large number of storage media (from USB sticks to hard drives), giving you access to even more audio. Naturally, the player can also read old-fashioned CD(-RW)s. The CDJ-850-W weighs only 3.3 kg and can therefore easily be transported. An integrated 24-bit audio interface guarantees a clear output and makes external interfaces redundant.

De HID/MIDI functionaliteit maakt dat het perfect is voor DJ's die gebruik maken van software. Bijna alle dj software kan met deze speler overweg. Echter zit hier wel verschil in.
HID zorgt voor een terugkoppeling naar de spelers waardoor alle LEDS of informatie die je ziet in de software ook op de speler te zien is (wavform, tijdweergave, bpm ect.)
MIDI doet dit niet, waardoor je dus bij VirtualDJ een perfect werkende speler hebt, maar bij Traktor niet. Je kan de MIDI functie wel gebruiken, maar je beeldscherm blijft leeg. Dit omdat de 850 geen traktor certified product is. De CDJ900 & CDJ2000 wel!
Als je even goed bekijkt wat jou software doet dan kom je niet voor verassingen te staan!
Ook het updaten van de speler is aan te raden aangezien de auto loop niet altijd perfect is.

Alles werkt zoals het zou moeten werken!
Hot cue's werken perfect, beatloops doen naadloos hun werk en de joghwheel is natuurlijk zoals je het gewend ben van Pioneer, top!
Heel goed dat je een pitch range hebt van 6,10,16% en Wide! Kun je heel nauwkeuring mee mixen!
Enige wat ontbreekt vind ik is de jog adjust.
Perfecte spelers voor als je bv. timecoded werkt en de snufjes van de CDJ2000 niet nodig hebt.
Zeker een aanrader!
zoals gewoonlijk degelijk en stevig materiaal.
casing plastiek waardoor het wel een klein beetje "goedkoop" aanvoelt
maar wel toch stevig in de hand ligt en stevig is!
pluspunten:
- het is pioneer dus het is allemaal goed!
-HID modus werkt goed!
-(serato) werkt er perfect op en zelf de 1/2/4/8 loops werken perfect!
-zoals gewoonlijk stevig jogwheel
1 enkel minpuntje hoewel het niet een minpunt is
is dat het als je met serato draait dat je op interlative mode moet draaien ipv absolute mode maar je ondervindt er geen last van!
wel 1 aandachts punt!
indien je een CDJ-850 koopt en hij start niet op dus je kan hem totaal niet opstarten dan is de voeding kapot! direct terug binnesteken.
en als hij gewoon bij het opstarten direct in stand-by modus valt dan is het probleem bij de processor ( bij deze heeft bax-shop mij direct van een nieuwe voorzien CDJ-850 voorzien)
