For a considerable time now, Pioneer's DDJ SB has been the preferred starter model for DJs, and as such it really doesn't need any further introduction. The popular DJ controller is now also available in red! This DDJ SB-R has two channels and is suited for home mixing as well as serious live sets. Thanks to its striking red colour, the controller looks fantastic on stage, and it can be easily connected. A Serato Intro software package is included, enabling you to start mixing right away.
Pioneer DDJ SB-R: red power
The red DJ controller features a number of remarkable functions, and is fully equipped to make mixing a piece of cake. Each single control of the DDJ SB-R can be found in Serato, which makes navigating easy and allows you to effortlessly apply effects to your mix. Each channel has a number of rubber pads that trigger samples, effects and hot cues, but can also be used to start tracks. The original DDJ SB was the first controller that combined a volume fader with a high-pass filter, and this red DDJ SB-R features the same functionality. Both beginners and advanced DJs will appreciate this function, as it allows for really smooth transitions between tracks.
A clear overview
The included Serato DJ Intro software is the driving force behind this DJ controller. Of all available DJ software, Serato DJ is the most popular – small wonder, as it is exceptionally flexible and can easily be upgraded to a full version. Effects, hot cues and samples can all effortlessly be controlled, and it is also possible to add your own music to Serato. All controls of the DDJ SB-R correspond with specific functions in the software, enabling you to keep a clear overview, and each channel features its own volume control, three-band tone control, combined high/low pass filter and effect section. Naturally, the DDJ SB-R is equipped with a sound card, which can be connected to your monitors via the stereo RCA output. Headphone outputs and a microphone input can be found on the side panel of the DJ controller.
