General

This high-grade DJ set may very well set the new standard for vinyl-oriented DJs and clubs. Featuring two PLX-1000 turntables and one DJM-900 Nexus DJ mixer, it doesn't look amiss in any booth. The DJM-900 offers great flexibility: not only can you connect it to your turntables, you can also combine it with CD players and DJ software. The mixer can handle anything you offer it: it is able to effortlessly reproduce various types of audio signals.

Pioneer PLX-1000 turntable

Spinning vinyl - or even scratching - requires a turntable with a powerful motor. This PLX-1000 is equipped with such a motor, and also features an S-shaped tone arm that increases the quality of your scratches even more. For beatmatching purposes you can use the large pitch fader, which enables you to select a pitch range between +/-8%, +/-16% and +/-50%. The large start/stop button has the same round design as those of the CDJ series, making this an unmistakable Pioneer product. The PLX-1000 is equipped with blue LED lighting, so you can accurately drop your needle at the right track in dark clubs. In short, the Pioneer PLX-1000 turntable is a worthy successor of the SL-1200.

Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus mixer

The DJM-900 Nexus sets the standard when it comes to DJ mixers, as it is able to process the combination of turntables and CD players with a high-grade audio quality. The mixer features a wide range of connectors, including professional XLR outputs, and can easily be integrated with various DJ software without requiring a separate audio interface. This Nexus is equipped with a built-in 96kHz/32-bit sound card, after all. The DJM-900 Nexus offers 14 different effects, which can be assigned to any channel, or to the master. Via PRO DJ LINK you can connect your computer to the mixer and use Rekordbox, allowing you to exchange BPM and cue points between software and players.
