General

De gemiddelde fabrikant van beginners-drumstellen kan nog een puntje zuigen aan de Pearl Target-reeks. Pearl weet, voor een dergelijk geluid en comfort, de prijs ongelofelijk laag te houden. Een haast onweerstaanbare aankoop dus, voor wie zijn voorzichtige eerste stappen op drum-gebied zet. De Pearl TGC-685C-33 is een Junior-versie, wat betekent dat de ketels relatief klein gehouden zijn. Dit maakt de set geschikt voor wie klein behuisd is, maar vooral ook voor de jongere speler. Dit fraaie Pure White-exemplaar heeft een hagelwitte afwerking en is beslagen met chromen hardware.

Behalve dat de Pearl TGC-685-C33 erg prettig speelt en goed klinkt, is hij ook duurzaam en bovenal buitengewoon compleet. Deze Junior drum-kit omvat een bassdrum, snare-drum, hihat, crash-bekken, drie toms en alle benodigde statieven en pedalen. De voornaamste verschillen met de Studio-versie zijn de kleinere snare (13 inch) en de extra compacte bassdrum (18 inch), die zorgt voor lager hangende, en dus beter bereikbare toms. Het drumstel wordt geleverd inclusief drumstokken en een drumkruk, voor een gezonde en prettige speelhouding.
