General

In the 1980's Pearl released a snare drum that would become legendary: the Free Floating snare drum. With this patented Free Floating system they have changed the drumming world forever. The shell and hardware are not in contact with each other, which allows for maximum resonance and tone. Now Pearl introduces the 30th Anniversary edition: the 14 x 6.5-inch FBD1465C Free Floating Snare Drum.

Pearl FBD1465C 30th Anniversary Free Floating Snare 14 x 6.5-inch

This 30th Anniversary Free Floating snare drum is equipped with FT-65 lugs and the SR-1000F Glide-Lock snare strainer. That strainer can be found on all Free Floating snare drum models and it has a lockable tension adjuster. The batter side of this remarkable snare drum has Spin-Tight tension rods that will make sure the head doesn't lose its tension. The snare drum comes with Remo Ambassador drumheads. Not only does the unique Free Floating system allow for unhindered vibration, resulting in pure articulation, it also allows you to easily replace the shell with another Free-Floating snare drum shell with a different size.

Accessories

Pearl wants to celebrate the anniversary of its Free Floating snare drums by supplying you with a number of accessories. For instance, you get special K-180 drum key and a sturdy leather carrying case to safely transport this beautiful snare drum. Of course, you'll want to be able to convince others of the authenticity of this special edition snare. That's why Pearl will also provide a certificate of authenticity. Inside the Free Floating snare drum you will find a paper badge with a serial number.
