De drummer die verder kijkt dan een standaard oplossing is erg gediend met de Pearl BCX924XSP-C358 Masters BCX shellset Silver Glitter. Dit zijn vier ketels waar u zelf nog bekkens, hardware en snare aan toevoegt voor een compleet drumstel. Het gaat specifiek om twee toms (10x8, 12x9), floortom (16x16) en bassdrum (12x18). De zilveren glitteruitstraling voegt de nodige klasse toe aan de ketels - dit model is overigens ook beschikbaar in twee andere finishes. De klank is zeer prettig en full-range, het zijn kortom zeer goede ketels voor een prijs die scherper is dan u wellicht denkt.

Dat deze configuratie (American Rock) goed klinkt heeft voor een groot deel te maken met de gebruikte houtsoort. Het 6-laags berkenhout (7.5 mm) in alle vier de ketels benadrukt lage en hoge tonen. Andere kwaliteiten van deze ketels zijn de grote klankprojectie en het lange sustain. Het is de 'Super Shell Technology' van Pearl waar al deze kwaliteit op stoelt; een zeer strenge selectieprocedure voor de materialen en een nauwgezet productieproces.
