De MIDI Timpiece van MOTU is een interface die digitale signalen synchroniseert. Of die nu MIDI, ADAT, Wordclock, met SMPLE video is, dit apparaat haalt geen enkel signaal door elkaar.

Een voorbeeld van toepassingen kan bijvoorbeeld zijn dat u het ADAT signaal van uw Digidesign interfaces of AD/DA converters wilt synchroniseren met SMPTE en video, of om meerdere AD/DA converters met ADAT aan digitale recorders wilt synchroniseren of de MIDI signalen van uw synthesizers en effecten apparatuur met video en digitale recorders middels ADAT, nagenoeg iedere digitale routing is mogelijk.

De MIDI Timepiece AV maakt gebruik van USB en vormt het knooppunt tussen uw computer en uw hardware. Middels een simpele USB hub kunt u meerdere Timepiece’s aan elkaar koppelen.
