With the Mapex Horizon HX drum set in Burgundy, Mapex has raised the bar for starter's drum sets. A drum set doesn't just have to be functional, it should also sound good. The 8-ply basswood shells have a naturally open, rich sound, that is enhanced by Mapex' ITS system.

Sound

ITS stands for Isolated Tom Suspension, and it allows the toms to resonate freely, greatly enhancing the sound. The Horizon HX 5045 in Burgundy has a jazz configuration and consists of a 20-inch bass drum, 10 and 12-inch toms and a 14-inch floor tom. The shells are equipped with Remo drumheads and the bass drum has a self-muffling drumhead.

Even the cymbal stands have been upgraded, so that they provide your cymbal with enhanced sustain. This Horizon HX has a beautiful Burgundy colour, which is named after Burgundy wine.
