Though Mapex does not create its own drumheads, they have asked drumhead giant Remo to provide all their drums with heads, so that players can start enjoying them right out of the box. The Remo UT drumheads are made of a single ply of the same sturdy mylar that the regular Remo drumheads are made of, so it offers great sound and great durability.
