If you're looking for an all-in-one mixer for simple gigs, but don't have that much space available, the Mackie Pro FX 16 is just the ticket. It's a sturdy live PA mixer that offers true Mackie quality, as well as a number of practical features and functions.

Components of the Pro FX 16 mixer

The ProFX16 is a versatile mixer with a good deal of great functionality. As such, you don't need a lot of heavy peripheral gear, which only takes up extra space. Among other things, the Mackie mixer features a built-in compressor, a graphic equalizer and an effects section - easy-to-use applications with all the basic functions you need.

Thanks to a USB in/out, you can record your own mix, but also stream audio from your computer to your mixer, which can really come in handy for tape rack artists. Simply connect your laptop and stream the vocal tapes directly to your mixer.

With the Pro-FX16, Mackie has once again issued a practical piece of gear that's highly functional and easy to use at the same time. If you only have limited space at your disposal, this compact PA mixer is truly a fantastic asset.

Wrote the following about Mackie Pro FX 16 live PA mixer

Heb een A&H gl2400-24 voor het grotere werk, maar voor kleinere gigs was ik op zoek naar een compact ding. en dat is het!
Beetje jammer dat de overall FX op de main beetje te veel ruist naar mijn smaak, maar als je het iets terugdraait is het super. Vandaar de 4 sterren ipv 5.

De 4 compressoren werken prima,
4 Sub groepen, beetje jammer dat je niet kunt kiezen of je die pre of postfader wilt hebben. Zou qua AUX of monitoring een prettige uitkomst zijn, maar wellicht ben ik te verwend met de A&H

EQ doet zijn werk en is te plaatsen op Main of op AUX. Werkt prima als je niet al te veel toestanden wilt meeslepen.

Het PFL/SOLO lampje blijft knipperen als je kanaal in PFL/SOLO hebt staan.
Tape-in doet zijn werk, evenals de USB in/out, hoewel dat bij een live gig, zelden gebruikt gaat worden.

Kortom.. een fijn ding!
