De X-Session Pro van M-Audio is een USB MIDI controller en biedt een snelle en gemakkelijke manier om het traditionele DJ-en te combineren met het hedendaagse draaien en optreden met behulp van de computer. Met een enkele USB connectie krijg je volumecontrole, pitch, een equalizer, CUE, transport van bestanden en een crossfader. De X-Session Pro kan in combinatie worden gebruikt met de inclusief geleverde Torq LE DJ software (registreren en dan downloaden klik hier), maar ook met de originele versie van Torq, Ableton Live, Traktor DJ Studio en iedere andere applicatie die MIDI Learn ondersteund.

de draaiknoppen en faders voelen lekker aan voor plastic.
Verder vind ik de LE software van tord die erbij zit minder. Ik gebruik de controller nu voornamelijk in Ableton en Traktor Pro omdat hij zo makkelijk te mappen is.
De schuifknoppen zijn heel soepel (vooral de crossfader) en dat vind ik persoonlijk heel prettig.
(Werkt overigens zonder problemen onder Linux met bijvoorbeeld de open source DJ applicatie Mixxx.)
