De Prokeys 88 is een echte premium digitale stage piano die het ook geweldig doet als MIDI controller. Uitgerust met realistische en uitgebreide sounds en een 88 toetsen hammer-action keyboard, is deze stage piano breed inzetbaar: van live-acts tot studio applicaties tot thuisgebruik. Deze professionele piano is ook goed te gebruiken als MIDI controller door middel van de ingebouwde USB/MIDI interface zodat u een directe verbinding kunt maken met uw PC of Mac. Ook communiceren met andere MIDI producten is mogelijk via de MIDI in/out.

De M-audio Prokeys88 digitale piano/ MIDI controller is mijn eerste digitale piano en waarschijnlijk ook de laatste die ik zal kopen! Ik speel al 8 jaar piano op een Steinway akoustische piano. Een digitale piano werd dus als iets minderwaardigs gezien in mijn gezin. Aangezien ik echter meer begon te oefenen, kreeg ik een nieuwe piano, de M-audio Prokeys88 digitale piano/ MIDI controller.
Toen ik voor het eerst op deze piano speelde was het alsof ik nog steeds op die Steinway piano speelde. Dan heb ik het vooral over de fantastische aanslaggevoeligheid van de toetsen. Je kon op deze digitale piano zonder problemen nuances leggen door harder of zachter te drukken e.d.
Wanneer ik de piano aansloot op mijn mac computer startte het programma garageband onmiddellijk op zonder enige zaken te downloaden of installeren. Op die manier kon ik mijn pianostukken zonder problemen opnemen.
Tevens is het voordeel aan deze usb-piano dat je hem kan gebruiken met of zonder computer.
Het enige punt van kritiek ligt erin dat mijn digitale piano soms geen geluid geeft, ondanks het feit dat hij aanstaat. Dit probleem echter is makkelijk op te lossen door hem gewoon nog eens op te starten.
