De M-Audio Keystation 49 E is alles wat u nodig heeft om te starten met het maken en opnemen van muziek op de PC of MAC. Het keyboard is super makkelijk aan te sluiten, de USB kabel erin en de muziek knalt uit uw speaker! Met de M-Audio software bundel kunt u meteen beginnen. Dit apparaat heeft 49 aanslag gevoelige toetsen en is hij uitgerust met een ingebouwde USB MIDI interface. Ook heeft u voor dit apparaat geen aparte voeding nodig want deze krijgt hij door de USB bus!

* Design * (4/5) Mooi strak met zilveren lak, best minimalistisch maar niet veel bijzonders.
* Duurzaamheid * (3/5) Plastic blijft breekbaar helaas. Gelukkig zijn er genoeg tassen/cases voor beschikbaar maar ik had graag een steviger model gezien.
* Gebruiksgemak * (5/5) Aansluiten, herkennen in uw DAW en spelen maar! Onder Windows is dit gewoon plug & play, en in Mac is het gewoon een kwestie van drivers installeren van een minuutje. Wordt herkend door in ieder geval herkend door de beeste DAW's.
* Functionaliteit * (4/5) Bijzonder veel MIDI commando's voor zijn prijs! Naast de standaard noten die je bij de meeste controllers voor deze prijs krijgt, heeft deze ook Pitch Control, Modulation en Volume Control wat je uiteraard ook op andere functies kan mappen, zoals pan, Vinyl Distortion en Cutoff respectievelijk. Ook de Advanced Functions is uitermate handig. Helaas is boven de noten niet geschreven wat voor functie zij uitoefenen.
Totaal: 4/5. Goede MIDI controller voor zijn geld.
Voor mijn Macbook was het een kwestie van plug&play. Ik had de driver verder niet nodig.
Ook een leuke tool is de pitch die erbij zit. Met deze pitch is het mogelijk om i.i.g. met Reason te scratchen met de NN19! Erg leuk om te doen.
Tip: Mocht er toch bij aansluiting de lichtjes wel branden, maar kan hij niet geïnstalleerd of gevonden worden, probeer dan een andere kabel, bijvoorbeeld die van je printer. Ik had dit probleem namelijk en dacht dat ie het niet zou doen, maar het bleek dus slechts de kabel te zijn, en met dit type USB-kabels blijkt dat vaker voor te komen.
