General
The M-Audio BX5 D2 is a set of studio monitors with an exceptionally good value for money ratio. The BX5 D2 is the successor to the popular BX5A monitor, that you can find in many home and project studios. The M-Audio BX5 D2 is equipped with a five inch woofer and has an integrated amplifier with 70 Watt power. This is divided into 30 Watt for the tweeter and 40 Watt for the woofer. These create a balanced and detailed sound, so that the BX5 D2 will be able to function as a point of reference for many studios.
M-Audio BX5 D2: reliable
The five inch woofer of the M-Audio BX5 D2 is made from woven Kevlar, which has a much more natural sound and lessens compression more than a traditional paper cone. The curved conical design of the woofer gives the speaker a few more low frequencies. The silk tweeter is completely isolated from the rest of the casing, to ensure as little distortion in the sound as possible and it has a very flexible frequency response of up to 22.000 Hz
The design
The BX5 D2 studio monitors may look a lot like the BX5A, the neat design has remained almost exactly the same, but some subtle changes have increased the sound greatly. The casing is designed to prevent distortion as much as possible, which is why the corners have been rounded off and the bass port has been placed at the back. If you want an affordable set of excellent studio monitors, this is it. The BX5 D2 series by M-Audio will help bring listening to your own recordings to a higher level.

De BX5 D2 heeft een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding en is daarom ook geschikt als instapmodel.
Ik heb de studiomonitoren sinds 08-08-2014 in combinatie met de Roland FantomG6 in gebruik en heb tot nu toe geen nadelen ondervonden. Enkele pluspunten voor mij zijn:
- Prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding;
- Helder en "eerlijk" geluid, vooral te merken tijdens het afmixen;
- Mooi design en stevige monitoren;
- LED lichtjes voor het bepalen van de sweet spot.
Zoals eerder genoemd heb ik geen minpunten gevonden zeker in verhouding tot de prijs!
Toen ik de doos uitpakte merkte ik op dat ze er kwalitatief goed uitzagen en het materiaal goed is afgewerkt.
Na het aansluiten verbaasde ik mij over het mooie geluid.
Perfecte boxen voor deze prijs. Als Bax had gezegd dat deze normaliter 400 zouden kosten had ik het ook geloofd. Aanrader!!!
- Er is niet zo veel bas in het geluid dat uit de speakers komt. Ook zitten de geluidsknopjes aan de achterkant, maar als je de volume via een geluidkaart regelt is dit natuurlijk niet zo'n groot probleem.
Ik ben zeer blij met mijn aankoop en de speakerset is het geld zeker waard.
Gewoon muziek luisteren kan natuurlijk ook. Wat een geluid!
speaker is zowel laag als op hoop volume perfect gebalanceerd. zelf kies ik op 80hz iets te verhogen paar db hoger dan 2.5khz en 12khz. maar als ik de sub nog een keer bestel dan zal dit goed anders kunnen zijn
paar dingen wat ik wel jammer vind, is de aan/uit knop achterop, volume regel ik met een mixer dus dat is niet zo'n probleem
baspoort achterop is jammer als je tegen muur wil monteren, nu staat hij vrij van muur en klinkt het geweldig.
enige jammer is dat mijn monitor en speakers op elkaar reageren, als ik met de muis op en neer ga dan hoor je ruis op de speakers komen.
oplossing is speakers maar kwart open en mixer maar iets harder zetten.
en speakers iets verder van de monitor monteren.
dit laatste zorgt er voor dat ik vier sterren geef anders was het echt 5sterren geworden

Aangenaam verrast door het geluid, zeker voor deze prijs.
Ik heb pas deze speakers gekocht en ben zeer tevreden.
Er zit mooi geluid in en ze zijn een goede maat voor op je bureau.

- Er zit geen bedieningsknoppen op
Naar mijn mening zijn ze echt aan te raden, voor een niet al te dure prijs heb je een klein maar goede monitoren.
Niets op aan te merken.
Ben zeer tevreden van deze monitors, zeer makkelijk te installeren en de klank is perfect zoals ik het moet hebben,
