De Line 6 Spider Valve MK II 112 is voorzien van een 12 inch Premium Celestion Vintage 30 speaker met een vermogen van 40 Watt. Het apparaat beschikt over twee 12AX7 voorversterkers en een 6L6 power tube. Ook kan er gekozen worden uit twaalf versterker modellen en zeven verschillende effecten die weergegeven worden door het handige LED-scherm. Door het LED-scherm heeft u overzicht over wat u aan het doen bent!
Met de 300 kant-en-klare presets die zijn gemaakt door professionele bands en gitaristen kunt u direct aan de slag. U kunt de presets doorzoeken óf door op de knop te drukken de preset te bewerken. De versterker voelt solide aan en is zeer stevig gebouwd. Dankzij het handvat kunt u hem gemakkelijk mee nemen. Dit super veelzijdige product is een must-have voor iedere gitarist die opzoek is naar een professionele versterker!

Ik speel nu een week op Spider Valve en hij beviel mij steeds beter. Nadat ik tientallen patches van andere gebruikers op de Line 6 site had gedownload, kon ik middels de gratis Edit software deze patches via de computer vrij gemakkelijk overzetten naar de versterker. Ik sta echt perplex.
Ik kan alle denkbare sounds van superclean tot vette metal (en alles wat daar tussenin zit) uit deze versterker halen. Alle denkbare effecten zijn ook aanwezig. Het kost wel even wat tijd om van alles en nog wat te tweaken, maar het is zeker de moeite waard.
Ik sta echt versteld van de mogelijkheden. Voor een gitarist in een coverband werkelijk ideaal.
Ik was lange tijd niet gecharmeerd van de Line 6 modeling versterkers, maar sinds men ze voorziet van buizen in de voor- en eindversterker, klinken ze zoveel beter / warmer / helder.
In vergelijking met mijn oude Johnson (2 x 75 Watt), gaat deze 40 Watt buizenversterker minstens zo hard, zonder irritant, rauw of schril te klinken.
Het gewicht en het formaat is ook prettig om te transporteren.
Voor zo'n prijs is het een topper.
