General

De naam zegt het al. De SV-1 zit vol met de meest gevraagde en gezochte soul keyboardsounds ooit verzameld in één instrument. Decennia van elektromechanische, transistor, buis, analoge en digitale legendes zijn verbonden in een collectie van akoestische piano's, gereproduceerd met een hoog realisme. Maar ook de bediening heeft dat 'vintage' gevoel.

De SV1 bevat daarnaast ook nog eens recreaties van effectpedalen en studiobewerking die de geluiden van weleer hun glans gaven. Het buis aangedreven, Valve Reactor circuit voegt daar nog extra warmte aan toe. Samen geven de drieband equalizer, Pre-FX, Modulation-FX en Reverb/Delay een extra dimensie aan het geluid.

De RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action geeft een stevig toetsenbord met een respons van een klassieke elektronische piano. De handige bediening zonder menu's en displays maakt de SV 1 direct bespeelbaar, zonder een lange studie van de handleiding. Er zijn acht favoriete geluiden op te slaan door even de gewenste knop ingedrukt te houden.

De 36 geluiden in de SV1 zijn oude bekenden. Ontdek wederom de vintage elektronische piano's, funky klavecimbels, klassieke en cult orgels, stringmachines en akoestische piano's.

Om in een moderne muziekomgeving te voldoen is de Vintage Stage Piano uitgerust met gebalanceerde XLR en 1/4 inch uitgangen, linker en rechter audio ingangen, MIDI in- en uitgangen, een USB MIDI poort en drie connecties voor pedalen: Damper, Pedal 1 en Pedal 2. Pedal 1 is toegewezen als schakelaar en kan werken als piano Sostenuto pedaal of als snel/langzaam schakelaar voor het Rotary Speaker effect. Pedal 2 is ideaal om authentieke wah-effecten en orgel volume te bedienen. Voor de echte purist is de Pedal2 optie ook te gebruiken om een Una Corda functie te bedienen.

Met de editor/librarian software is elk van de 36 geluiden en de acht favorieten te programmeren en apart op te slaan. Hiermee wordt het voor gebruikers mogelijk om favoriete geluiden uit te wisselen én voor Korg om meer geluiden in de nabije toekomst aan te leveren.

De vintage styling maakt de SV-1 helemaal af. Ook beschikbaar in 73-toets versie.

Wrote the following about Korg SV1-88

Deze stagepiano is veruit de beste keuze als het(vooral) gaat om de prachtige piano,rhodes/wurli's,clavi's en strings samples. Het gebruiksvriendelijk aanpassen van de ingebouwde effecten, houd het overzichtelijk voor op het podium, wat ik erg handig vindt.(De preciese details zijn niet nodig, die kunnen in de handige software worden ge-edit) Ook blinkt hij uit in zijn toetsenaanslag, die tussen die van een piano en een elektrische piano in ligt. Verder erg fijn van Korg dat ze, heel fijn, XLR uitgangen er op hebben gemaakt.
Bedenk wel goed dat je hier geen lekkere hammondsound uit haalt. In mijn ogen dan ook het enige minpunt van deze fantastische piano.

Wrote the following about Korg SV1-88

Gewoon uitpakken en direkt spelen, that's all. Geen meervoudige menu's geen knoppen met tientallen functies maar wel lekker spelen en je geluid in realtime aanpassen. Ik zat te twijfelen tussen de Nord Electro en deze Korg maar de gewogen-piano-toetsen hebben de doorslag gegeven. Hiervoor had ik een Roland RD700SX, was al beu van de geluiden, daarom deze korg aangeschaft en ik heb er geen spijt van. De Roland heeft wel meer mogelijkheden en geluiden maar het gaat mij hoofdzakelijk om de piano-achtige geluiden voor de overige geluiden heb ik een synth. Prachtig design, mooie tijdloze retro look, kortom: aanrader!
