General
Laag, dat is het kernwoord voor deze subwoofer in de PRX600 serie van JBL en dat is op vele manieren te zien. Om te beginnen natuurlijk de klank die deze subwoofer ten gehore brengt. Deze is van een dusdanig hoog niveau dat u zeker weet dat uw publiek de klank kan waarderen. Dit is grotendeels te danken aan het heldere laag wat hoorbaar is. Zo kunt u de subwoofer gebruiken voor ieder soort muziek, of het nu een live band is of een stampende discotheek. De frequenties die de woofer geeft kunnen ook zeer laag. Er zijn maar weinig subwoofers die in staat zijn om tot 30 Hz laag te gaan en zeker in combinatie met zijn power.
De subwoofer is in staat om een schrikbarende 133dB neer te zetten en dat is zeer krachtig te noemen. Alle lof hiervoor gaat naar Crown, zij hebben de ingebouwde versterker ontwikkeld en dat is goed te horen. Ze hebben bij Crown gekozen voor een klasse "D" versterker en deze levert aan de ene kant een vermogen van tweemaal 500 Watt en aan de andere kant wordt het gewicht zo laag mogelijk gehouden. Deze versterker is aan te sluiten met de XLR en 6.3 mm jack inputs en u heeft ook nog de mogelijkheid om deze door te lussen met een crossover frequentie van 90 Hz. Hierdoor kunt u andere actieve topkasten ook van signaal voorzien zonder dat er frequenties zullen overlappen. Een ontzettend krachtige subwoofer die vele zalen op hun grondvesten zal laten trillen.
Tips or comments about this product- De XLF uitvoering staat voor extended low frequency. U heeft met deze dus een lager bereik dan de gewone PRX618S.

No brainer, dit is top voor zowel live (zang, bands) als D.J. werk, erg vet en mooi laag, zeer hoge geluidsdruk.

Even een opsomming van de voor- en -nadelen:

- Ultra lage frequentie, je voelt door deze subwoofer echt alles trillen. Het is ongekend zoveel kracht dat deze subwoofers hebben.
- Afwerking is subliem, de coating van het rooster, en de laag over het hout is echt geweldig.
- Grootte en gewicht, voor zijn grootte is hij extreem krachtig en ook nog eens super licht! Je kunt de subwoofer zo optillen en op een hondje zetten. (anders vertil je je na enige tijd)
- werkt super i.c.m. JBL PRX 635 een heerlijke weergave van het geluid met een superstrakke bass!
- Ook vind ik deze speakers voor de prijs echt extreem goed. Ik heb heel wat andere subwoofers gezien en dit is veruit de straks klinkende en qua looks ook.
- Ook werkt het linken met andere speakers gewoon super, en de onafhankelijke switches op de speaker zijn ook fijn (polariteit omdraaien)

Ik heb er nog geen ondervonden aan de subwoofers. Wat ik wel apart vond is dat als ik via een Jack plug een telefoon er op aansluit dan krijg ik niet de bass die ik zou krijgen vanuit de DJM-2000.
5 Sterren voor dit product omdat er simpelweg geen negatieve punten aan zitten.
Ik zou graag willen verwijzen naar mijn review over de JBL PRX 635, welke top werkt in combinatie met deze subwoofer.
