What's so special about the UEW20SME concert ukulele is its unique finish. The pattern on the maple wood is caused by fungi that have changed the colour of the wood by living under certain, controlled conditions, also known as spalting. As a result, each UEW20SME ukulele sports a different, unique pattern. The UEW20SME has a practical cutaway so that you can easily reach the upper frets of the 19-fret fingerboard. With the gold-plated Grover tuners you're guaranteed a reliable, high-quality product.

If you want to be audible for a larger audience, amplification might come in handy. The UEW20SME is equipped with an Ibanez Under Saddle pickup that is hidden under the bridge saddle. Although you can't see it, it picks up vibrations perfectly. Also, with the UK300T integrated preamplifier you can set the bass and treble. The UK300T even has a tuner function so you'll be prepared for any situation.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
