General

The Ibanez SR1605 NTF Premium (Natural Flat) is the 5-string version of the SR1604 bass guitar. These models really catch the eye because of their tasteful design: elegant shapes are combined with the exceptional appearance of a light poplar top on a mahogany body. The mahogany also provides a more solid, deep bass sound which, alongside the stable 5-piece neck, matches perfectly with a serious instrument such as the SR1605.
Nordstrand pickups and active EQ
At the centre of the Ibanez SR1605NTF we find a pair of Nordstrand Big Single 5 pickups. These pickups are single coils that produce a surprisingly full, powerful and raw sound while preserving that typical single-coil clarity. It gets even more interesting when we take a look at the active tone control. With this 3-band equalizer, including mid-range switch (250/600 Hz), you can accurately adapt the sound to your liking.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
