Ibanez bracht de Premium serie in het leven om gitaristen dezelfde hoogwaardige opties te bieden als de duurdere en exclusieve Japanse J-Custom gitaren. Deze transparant rode RG921QM oogt, klinkt en speelt als een high-end model, maar is toch zeer betaalbaar. De gitaar is in Indonesië gemaakt met de beste materialen en dezelfde hardware als de Prestige serie. Hij wordt zelfs geleverd met een Ibanez Premium softcase waarin u de gitaar gemakkelijk en vooral veilig kunt vervoeren. U krijgt er tevens een handige multi-tool bij met alle benodigde gereedschappen.

Ibanez RG921QM Premium: eersteklas kenmerken

Deze “QM” uitvoering van de Ibanez RG921 heeft een Amerikaans lindehouten body met een schitterende toplaag van gewolkt esdoornhout, ook wel quilted maple genoemd. De snelle, dunne hals is vervaardigd uit vijf stukken esdoorn- en walnotenhout met interne staven van titanium. Dit houdt de hals recht en stabiel bij iedere temperatuur en luchtvochtigheid. De achterkant is niet gelakt maar geolied, voor een satijnzachte feel. Ook aan de 24 jumbo frets van de RG921QM Premium is veel zorg aan besteed. De uiteinden zijn afgerond om de scherpe randjes weg te halen en spiegelglad gepolijst voor optimaal comfort tijdens het spelen.

DiMarzio humbuckers en Tight End-R brug

De RG921 Premium is uitgerust met speciaal voor Ibanez ontworpen DiMarzio elementen. Deze krachtige humbuckers leveren een volle en heldere allround klank. Maar dankzij de wat hogere output lenen ze zich uitstekend voor het ruigere gitaarwerk. Verder is deze gitaar voorzien van Ibanez’s eigen ontwerp brug, de Tight End-R. Deze vaste brug is extreem stabiel en zeer comfortabel tijdens het spelen, dankzij het lage en glad afgewerkt ontwerp. Het geeft de gitaar een strakke “in your face” toon en bergen sustain. Tot slot zijn de hoogte van de zadels en de intonatie eenvoudig aan te passen, voor een optimale setup.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
