General

Voor de muzikanten die graag mandoline willen spelen en de gitaristen die eens een ander geluid willen uitproberen, is er de M522SBS F-style mandoline van Ibanez. De F-style body wordt gekenmerkt door de F-vormige hoorn en de cutaway aan de onderkant. Op de mandoline zitten acht snaren die meestal als 4 identieke paren worden gestemd. Afwijkende stemmingen komen ook voor, bijvoorbeeld door gitaristen die zo deels dezelfde vingerposities kunnen gebruiken.

Extra decoratie:

8-snarige mandolines worden meestal met een plectrum bespeeld. Er bestaan ook nog 4-snarige en 12-snarige mandolines. De M522SBS is mooier om aan de muur te hangen dan in een koffer op te bergen wanneer u klaar bent met spelen. Hij beschikt over goudkleurige hardware en parelmoerknoppen. De top is van sparrenhout met een bruine sunburst lak, heeft een hoogglans finish en een zwarte slagplaat. Ook is de kop voorzien van een kunstige inlay.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
