General

De Ibanez Iceman is een gitaar voor snelle, zware jongens. De metal-scene wordt goed bediend met deze IC500 BK Iceman. Een snelle gitaar met 24 frets en twee DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers. Deze zijn passief, maar produceren een klank die kan wedijveren met actieve exemplaren. Rijk in output en perfect voor schurende solo’s. Natuurlijk zorgt de 3-weg elementschakelaar voor de hoofdvariaties in klank, die u kunt kruiden met de tone- en volumeregeling.

Oorsprong en bouw

De oorspronkelijke Iceman dateert van halverwege de jaren ’70 en werd gebruikt door de gitaristen van onder meer KISS en System of a Down. Deze moderne versie heeft een vaste Gibraltar brug met een string-through-body ontwerp. Zo ontstaat een directe klank met een lange sustain. Deze Ibanez IC500 BK is bijzonder gelimiteerd en eenmalig beschikbaar. Wie op zoek is naar een scheurijzer met een rijke historie neemt deze Iceman zeker in overweging.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
