General

Guitar virtuoso Paul Gilbert, guitarist of Mr. Big (among other bands) has had his own signature-model guitar at Ibanez for over 25 years now. A perfect reason to celebrate this with a special anniversary-model, the Ibanez FRM250MF. This beautiful electric guitar was based on the FRM100TR Fireman but has had a few upgrades and has been fitted with a new set of pickups. The FMR250MF 25th. Anniversary is a limited edition and comes with a customised case.
Features of the Ibanez FRM250MF
The FRM250MF has a mahogany body with a set-in neck (also made of mahogany) that has been reinforced with maple. This combination of wood types and construction results in a warm yet tight sound with everlasting sustain. This Limited Edition-model Fireman is characterised by its flamed maple top with a classic, amber-coloured finish. The body and the neck of the FRM250MF have been decorated with graceful, white bindings for a luxury appearance.
Hardware and pickups
This special edition of the Ibanez Fireman is also fitted with the highly practical Tight-Tune bridge and tailpiece. With their design, you can easily and quickly switch chords while the locking mechanism ensures more directness and tone. The FRM250MF is equipped with an HSH pickup configuration by DiMarzio: there is an Air Classic humbucker at the bridge and neck position and an Area 67 single coil in the mid position. This is perfect for all kinds of sounds, from a sparkly clean to a creamy shredding sound.
