Guild AO-5CE Arcos orchestral electr-acoustic western

General

The Guild AO-5CE is an orchestra-sized electro-acoustic steel-string guitar for advanced musicians. This guitar features a more compact body than it's bigger dreadnought brother, the AD-5CE, so you can count on a tighter, brighter sound which, together with the broader 1.75-inch string nut, is an excellent fit for fingerpicking styles. All of this is of course paired with the famous Guild sound, which can also be amplified via the built-in Fishman Presys+ preamp.

Projection and timbre

The body of the AO 5CE offers excellent projection and a lot of volume, thanks to its solid top and characteristic Guild curved back. The sitka spruce used for the top gives the sound a clear dose of warmth and brightness. The amplified sound can be adjusted via the panel on the side, which in addition to a 3-band EQ also has feedback control and a tuner.

Koa wood decoration and Deluxe Polyfoam carry bag

Guild made sure that this Arcos series guitar had the kind of looks that would match its distinguished sound. The blank, natural finish features a hand-oiled top which is decorated with a lovely koa soundhole rosette, and is joined by white body bindings. Thanks to the use of a slim neck and medium jumbo frets, this steel-string guitar has a superbly supple feel, just like we're used to from Guild Guitars. To top it off, the guitar comes with the lightweight Deluxe Polyfoam Gig Bag.
