Droomde u altijd al van een Gretsch White Penguin, maar kon u deze nooit betalen? Dan is dit uw kans, want speciaal voor u maakte Gretsch deze FSR G5436T. Een zeer gelimiteerde witte uitvoering van de Electromatic Pro Jet. Dé betaalbare 'Poor Man's' Penguin met typerende kenmerken als een single cutaway body, 'hump block'-inlays in de toets, Bigsby tremolo en natuurlijk een schitterende witte lak. Van deze Factory Special Run-uitvoering hebben wij er slechts drie weten te bemachtigen, dus wees er snel bij!

Constructie van de Gretsch G5436T

De body van de G5436T is 'chambered', oftewel deze gitaar heeft een massieve body die gedeeltelijk is uitgehold. Hierdoor is hij lekker licht van gewicht en krijgt hij een meer hollow body-sound. Deze body is gemaakt van lindehout met een fraaie gewelfde top van esdoornhout. De hals is eveneens van esdoorn en zit gelijmd in de body voor meer sustain. En voor de toets is palissander gebruikt, met 22 medium jumbo frets en klassieke Gretsch 'hump block' positieaanduidingen. De ideale combinatie voor een strakke, heldere klank.

Elementen en hardware

Deze Limited Edition Gretsch G5436T Pro Jet is uitgerust met twee Black Top Filter'Tron elementen. Dit zijn humbuckers met een zeer fel en helder karakter dat meer neigt naar een single coil. De gitaar is voorzien van vier klassieke 'G-arrow' knoppen en een witte pearloid slagplaat met zwart Gretsch-logo. De brug is een volledig verstelbare Adjusto-Matic in combinatie met een Bigsby-gelicenseerd B50 staartstuk, voor die weelderige subtiele vibrato-effecten.
