General

This Gretsch G9202 (Swamp Green) resonator guitar is a limited edition of the popular G9201 Honey Dipper Special Round Neck. It offers the same benefits as the highly popular metal-coloured G9201 – its metal body and resonator cone combine to create the characteristic, powerful resonator sound – but its body has a striking, weathered Swamp Green finish. Please note: this resonator guitar is only available in an exceptionally limited number!

G9202 Swamp Green: vintage design and sound

In addition to its remarkable colour, the G9202 has a number of other features that distinguish it from the G9201. The white bindings along the fingerboard and the stylish screened headstock graphic, for instance, go well with the vintage design of the instrument. The G9202 Swamp Green Honey Dipper Special is also equipped with elegant f-shaped sound holes and with Gretsch's own beautiful Ampli-Sonic resonator cone, which produces a sound that carries remarkably far.

Round neck

Just like the 'regular' Honey Dipper, the G9202 is fitted with a round neck. As opposed to a square-neck model, which can only be played sitting down with the guitar resting on your lap, a round-neck resonator can also be used standing up. A resonator guitar is often played with the help of fingerpicks, a thumb pick and a slide – a playing style that makes it ideal for music genres like blues and bluegrass. Naturally, this Gretsch G9202 Swamp Green Honey Dipper Special Round Neck resonator can also be used as a regular guitar.
