Gretsch's popular G9201 resonator is now available in a special edition! This Gretsch G9202 Honey Dipper Special is a real looker thanks to its beautifully weathered Delta Blue finish and weathered white fingerboard bindings. The headstock of this remarkable resonator guitar is adorned with a screened graphic that really completes its great vintage look.

The cone of the G9202 Honey Dipper Special

Naturally, the resonator cone is an essential part of a resonator guitar. This metal diaphragm is responsible for the characteristically powerful, direct and clear sound of the instrument, which is often heard in blues and bluegrass music. In order to ensure an excellent tone and a powerful volume, Gretsch uses its own Ampli-Sonic diaphragm, hand-spun from nearly 100% pure aluminium.

Play it however you like!

The resonator guitar (also called a dobro by some) can be played in various ways. You can use it for fingerpicking, for instance, either with or without fingerpicks, and with an optional slide on your left hand. The G9202 Honey Dipper Special is equipped with a round neck, which means you can easily play it standing up as well as sitting down with the guitar on your lap.
