The Gretsch S-0612-ASHT Ash side snare drum has a diameter of 12 inches, which gives it a higher pitch than that of a standard 14-inch snare. This fabulous drum features Gretsch's unique 30-degree bearing edges, which provide it with a long and full tone and a clear and open sound. The shell of the snare drum is made of 10-ply ash with a thickness of 8 mm, which provides it with a nice ruggedness, enabling you to tune it to perfection.

Snare system, drumheads and GTS mounting

The S-0612-ASHT side snare features a snare system that enables you to adjust the sound of your snare from dull to sharp with one quick and simple movement. The included drumheads are manufactured by Evans, comprising a single-ply rough white batter head and a single-ply transparent resonant head. The side snare is fitted with a standard GTS mounting system that fits on a 12.7mm tom stand, enabling you to set up and play your snare just the way you like.

Black hardware with a Satin Ebony finish

The S-0612-ASHT is supplied with lightweight 2.3mm flanged hoops, which allow for more resonance, creating a clear tone. This neat and good-looking side snare drum has a Satin Ebony finish and features beautiful black hardware.
