Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz Gloss Natural: the one and only Gretsch sound
The shells of this four-part set are made of 6-ply mahogany, a wood type that produces a warm tone and allows for optimal shell resonance. Aided by their 30-degree bearing edges, the mahogany shells produce the unique sound that Gretsch is known and loved for. Equipped with a traditional 18-inch Be-bop bass drum, this set is not only suited for jazz, but can also be used for many other types of music. The Catalina Club Jazz Natural Gloss has a nicely compact design, which makes it ideal for small-scale gigs and rehearsal sessions.
Adjusting the kit to your preferences
Each drummer prefers his or her tom(s) at a different height. That's why Gretsch has developed the 12.7mm tom stand and the bass drum tom bracket, which enable you to set your tom at any desired height. The 9020-style suspension mount allows you to attach your tom to the 12.7mm tom stand and to determine the angle at which your tom is suspended. As the stands must carry a considerable weight and are used intensively, Gretsch has manufactured all hardware from durable metal. The floor tom of this Catalina Club Jazz shell set is equipped with three adjustable, chrome-plated legs with rubber anti-slip caps.
