General

De XP-6000 van Gemini is een krachtige, robuuste versterker die vooral ontworpen is voor mobiel PA/DJ gebruik. Door het geringe gewicht en hoge vermogen is de XP-6000 hier ook erg geschikt voor. Het vermogen van 600 Watt RMS per kanaal op 8 Ohm is voldoende om zware fullrange- of topkasten aan te sturen. Maar ook een zware subwoofer is niet te hoog gegrepen want gebrugd levert de XP-6000 zelfs 2000 Watt op 8 Ohm.

De versterker heeft XLR en jack aansluitingen op de ingangen en de uitgangen zijn uitgerust met vergrendelbare connectoren en draadklemmen. Het geheel raakt niet oververhit door de 'front-to-back' ventilator die harder gaat draaien naarmate het volume van de versterker toeneemt. Verder is er een ground lift schakelaar aangebracht om ruis te elimineren, en een limiter tegen overbelasting van de versterker.

The SDJ-2000 took us a bit by surprise. Nobody expected Gemini to release a beast like this. It has plenty of options, features and even free Library Management software. This might just make some of the big fish in the DJ pond slightly nervous.
