General
The Saffire PRO 24 is the newest FireWire audio interface by Focusrite. It is the best-sounding audio interface in its range. The Saffire PRO 24 is equipped with two analogue inputs, 6 outputs and two preamplifiers.
Apart from its two preamplifiers, which can be used for a microphone as well as an instrument, the Saffire PRO 24 is fitted with two analogue inputs, six outputs and an ADAT input. In total, that puts 16 audio inputs at your disposal.
The Saffire PRO 24 comes with accessory production software. Included are the latest version of Focusrite Plug-in Suite, which contains compression, reverb, EQ and gate VST/UA plug-ins, Ableton Live Lite, Xcite+ bundle, Novation's Bass Station VSTi and more than 1 GB of Loopmasters samples.
Tips or comments about this product- Please note: if your computer has a Thunderbolt port, you'll need a FireWire-Thunderbolt adapter. You can find one among the accessories on the right side of your screen.
- This interface comes with two plug-ins by Focusrite: Red 2 (an equalizer) and Red 3 (a compressor), see pictures. They have been modelled after the original hardware, which still enjoys great popularity in high-end studios. You can also buy these plugins separately from the Focusrite interface, by getting them directly from Focusrite.
