For instance, the Fender Sonoran SCE Wildwood IV Purple Heart has a back and sides made of purpleheart, a wood type that is characterised by a rich purple colour - and was also used for the elegant Stratocaster-type headstock of this western guitar.

Stunning looks should be accompanied by a stunning sound. On this guitar, the amazing sound is provided for by the top, which is the most important factor to the sound of an acoustic guitar. The top of the Sonoran SCE is made of solid wood and produces a powerful sound that carries far. The use of spruce ensures a proper dose of clarity and the purpleheart increases the dynamic range.

Amplification

Connect the Sonoran SCE Wildwood IV Purple Heart to, for instance, an external soundcard, acoustic guitar amplifier or mixer and its pleasant acoustic sounds are fantastically reproduced by the Fishman Isys III pickup system. The three-band EQ lets you fine-tune the sound perfectly and the built-in tuner allows for a quick tuning-up.

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
