This summer, Fender goes all out with a series of Special Edition Stratocaster guitars. They're releasing no fewer than six Factory Special Run (FSR) models, based on their Classic '50s and '60s series. Each model features its own unique colour, derived from the distinctive, original Cadillac hues of the fifties and sixties. With these new Strats, Fender has added a nice bit of colour to their assortment. How about expanding your own collection..?

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.

The Fender CD-140S Natural and the CD-140SE in Natural and Black now also come in a matte satin finish, in addition to the existing high-gloss models. The satin finish really allows the beautiful wood grains to stand out and the sound produced is a little more open.

The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
