General

De Fender Stratocaster is uiteraard niet meer weg te denken uit de hedendaagse muziek. Fender brengt zo nu en dan speciale edities uit van deze oergitaar; de zogenaamde Factory Special Runs. Deze Fender FSR Hot Rod Strat HH is een Stratocaster op steroïden. Hij is voorzien van twee DiMarzio humbuckers waardoor hij klaargestoomd is voor het ruigere werk. Uiteraard is deze versie gelimiteerd (slechts 2 stuks!), dus u moet er snel bij zijn om niet achter de gitaarkoffer te vissen.

Hot Rod zonder wielen

Deze Fender FSR Hot Rod Strat heeft een mooie zijdeglans urethaan afwerking. Het is alsof u naar de lak van een stoere Amerikaanse oldtimer uit de jaren '50 kijkt. Net zoals die oldtimers is deze Stratocaster getuned om harder te gaan dan het origineel. De DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker bij de brug zorgt hier voor de nodige power. Door middel van een drieweg-schakelaar bepaalt u welke van de twee humbuckers of een combinatie daarvan zich in uw spel 'bijt'. Deze gelimiteerde Fender is voorzien van een esdoorn hals met zwarte positiestippen en heeft een zwarte slagplaat.

Afwerking en klank van deze speciale Strat

De afwerking van deze Hot Rod Strat is zoals u van Fender mag verwachten. Deze gitaar beschikt over standaard oliebad-stemmechanieken waarmee u de snaren soepel maar doeltreffend op spanning brengt. De brug is een vintage-style tremelo, waarmee u de nodige vibrato-effecten kunt maken die passen bij het pittige geluid van deze Hot Rod. De esdoorn hals heeft een vrij vlakke toets waardoor extra hoge bends probleemloos verlopen. Het esdoorn voegt veel helderheid en definitie toe aan het geluid, zodat u geheid door de mix heen snijdt.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
