General

Many bassists wish they could own an early vintage model. Fender know this and have created some carefully designed instruments, within their American Vintage series, that closely resemble their specific predecessor. This American Vintage Jazz Bass is a reissue of the Fender 75 Jazz Bass. This particular guitar was made in 2007, yet looks like it's never been played. Even the original accessories like the covers for the bridge and middle pickup have never been fitted. The bass guitar comes with an original black Fender case with orange plush interior.

Fender American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass: Ash and Maple

Even apart from all the vintage aspects, this guitar is definitely worth a look. It combines its clean Natural finish with a one-piece maple neck, mounted with three screws (according to vintage seventies specs) and supporting black block inlays and black bindings. The neck of this 1975 model is a little bigger than that of previous models and has a U, as opposed to a C-profile neck. Its body is made of alder, a lightweight type of beautifully grained wood that produces a deep and clear tone. All in all, it is a bass guitar that pierces through the mix marvellously.

Electronics and shiny bits

Especially for the American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass, Fender designed two single coils that can accurately reproduce the tonal characteristics of their predecessors. Combined with the rich sound of the body you are allowed to enjoy a warm sound with punch in the trebles as well as in the basses. The pickups have separate volume controls and a master tone knob allows you to season the overall sound. Just like the original, this second hand bass comes with a chrome F-logo bridge cover and a chrome pickup cover, both not mounted to the guitar. Screws and mounting instructions are included. Moreover, the case also holds a thumb rest and all the original paperwork.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
