Deze witte elektrische basgitaar is in uiterlijk, klank én gevoel een authentieke heruitgave van de klassieke Fender P-Bass uit 1962. Hij is handgemaakt in Amerika volgens originele vintage specificaties. De American Vintage Reissue ’62 Precision Bass bezit diverse natuurgetrouwe kenmerken, zoals de sterk afgeronde bodyranden en de stemmechanieken met tegengestelde draairichting. En natuurlijk de begeerde Fender kleur Olympic White in echte nitro-cellulose lak. De bas wordt geleverd inclusief een periode-correcte bruine koffer met bijbehorende accessoires. En dit alles zonder het extreem hoge vintage prijskaartje!

Body en hals van de American Vintage ’62 Precision Bass

Zoals het origineel is de body van de Fender American Vintage ’62 Pbass gemaakt van lichtgewicht elzenhout, ook wel bekend als Alder. Een uitstekende toonhout met een volle, gebalanceerde klank. De hals is gemaakt uit één stuk esdoorn (maple) met een dikke palissander (rosewood) toets. Ook deze is volgens authentieke specificaties voorzien van een bolle 7,25 inch radius en 20 smalle en lage vintage frets. De achterkant van de hals en de kop zijn eveneens afgewerkt in nitro-lak met een diepe gele tint. De kleinere details zoals de tweede “strap pin” aan de achterkant van de kop en de “finger rest” op de rode schildpadmotief-slagplaat zijn eveneens aanwezig.

Oorspronkelijke elektronica en hardware

Fender schonk ook veel aandacht aan de juiste elektronica. De American Vintage ’62 Precision Bass is uitgerust met een authentiek klinkend element met dubbele pooltjes per snaar. Deze zogeheten “split single-coil” is gewonden originele specificaties en voorzien van Alnico 5 magneten. Hierdoor krijgt u die karakteristieke diepe en punchy P-Bass sound. De Precision Bass heeft een simpele maar doeltreffende toonregeling, bestaande uit een volumeregeling en een toonknop voor het filteren van de hoge frequenties. Tot slot wordt deze bas geleverd met chromen brug- en element-afdekkingen. Ze zijn ongemonteerd en nog niet voorgeboord, zodat u zelf kunt kiezen of u ze eraf wilt laten.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
